No. 7 Duke defeated Georgia Tech, 82-70, on March 14, 2008, at the Charlotte Bobcats Arena in Charlotte, N.C., in the quarterfinals of the 2008 ACC Tournament. Duke improves to 27-4 overall while the Yellow Jackets fall to 15-17.
Duke vs. Georgia Tech Series
- Duke now leads the series with Georgia Tech, 60-22 all-time and the Blue Devils have won 11 of the last 12 in the series, including both match-ups this season.

Milestones, Streaks & Records - Coach K now has 802 career victories in his 33 seasons of coaching, matching the NCAA record for most wins through the first 33 seasons of a coaches career. He is tied with former North Carolina coach Dean Smith.

- Coach K is now 802-264 all-time as a head coach and ranks sixth on the NCAA's win chart. He is also second among active coaches behind fifth-place Eddie Sutton, who has 804 victories. First overall on the wins list is Coach K's mentor, Bobby Knight, with 902 wins.
- Coach K now has a 729-205 record at Duke and is in sixth place on the NCAA chart for most wins at one school. Coach K is also second among active coaches behind Syracuse's Jim Boeheim (767). Fifth on the list is Western Kentucky's Ed Diddle with 759 wins.
- The senior scored 17 points, grabbed nine rebounds, dished out a career-high tying seven assists and had one steal and block in 33 minutes. He shot 7-of-13 from the field, 2-of-3 from behind the arc and 1-of-3 from the line.
