No. 2 Duke defeated Maryland, 77-65, on February 13, 2008, at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Duke improves to 22-1 overall and 10-0 in the ACC while the Terrapins fall to 16-9 and 6-4, respectively.
Series Notes
- Duke now leads the series with Maryland, 103-60, dating back to 1925-26. Duke is 89-50 in ACC regular season play against the Terps and 50-16 at home, including 48-14 at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Duke is now 44-20 against Maryland under coach Mike Krzyzewski.

- In 868 games at Cameron Indoor Stadium, Duke is now 720-148 all-time. Coach K won his 360th game at Cameron in 413 career games, meaning Coach K has coached Duke to exactly half of its wins in the building in its history.

- Duke has won a season high 12 straight games overall and all 10 of its ACC games. Duke's double-digit win streak is the 35th in school history and 21st under Coach K. There have been 23 win streaks of 12 games or more in school history and 14 under Coach K.

- Duke shot 12-of-25 from three point range and 11-of-33 from inside the arc against Maryland, marking just the 11th time in Duke history that the Blue Devils have hit more three-point field goals than two-point field goals. The last time it happened was Feb. 19, 2006, against Miami when Duke shot 13-of-23 from three and 12-of-28 from inside the arc.
- Duke outscored Maryland 41-30 in the first half, marking the 17th time in 23 games Duke has scored 40-plus in the first half, including three straight. Duke's 11-point lead at the break marked the 13th time Duke has led by double digits at the break and also the 20th time in 23 games overall that the Blue Devils have led at halftime.
- Duke had just 13 turnovers against Maryland, staying on their ACC best (lowest) total of 13.3 per game.

- Maryland shot 27-of-66 (.409) from the field against Duke, marking the 19th time in 23 games this season that Duke's opponent has been held under 50 percent from the field.

Coach K
- Coach K is now 797-262 as a head coach, ranking sixth on the NCAA wins chart and second among active coaches. Only Eddie Sutton, who is fifth overall and tops among active coaches with 800 wins, is ahead of him while first overall is Bob Knight with 902 wins.
- With 797 career wins in his first 33 seasons, Coach K is currently second on the NCAA's list of most victories in a coaches' first 33 season. He trails Dean Smith, who had 802 wins through 33 seasons.
- Coach K now has 797 wins in 1,059 career games and is looking to become the third-fastest coach to 800 wins based on number of games. Adolph Rupp (972) and Dean Smith (1,029) are already out of reach and Bob Knight is currently third, accomplishing the feat in 1,102 games.
DeMarcus Nelson
- The senior had 12 points, five rebounds, four steals, two assists and a block in 35 minutes of action against Maryland.
- Nelson now has 20 games this season scoring in double figures, including eight straight and 15 of the last 16, and 63 such games in his career.
- Nelson now has eight games with three or more steals this season and 17 such games in his career.
- Nelson now has seven straight games with four or more rebounds.
Kyle Singler
- The freshman continued his hot play with a season high 26 points shooting 10-of-17 from the field, 6-of-9 from behind the arc and added seven rebounds and two assists.
- Singler recorded his fourth 20-point performance of the season, including his second straight, and has reached double figures in scoring 17 times this season, including five straight and nine of the last 10 games.
- Singler's 26 points, 10 field goals, six three-pointers, nine three-pointers attempted are all season highs.
- Singler now has 38 three-pointers on the season and moved into the top 10 list for most threes by a freshman in Duke history. He passed assistant coach Chris Collins, who nailed 37 triples in 1992-93. He's one behind classmate Taylor King for ninth place.

Greg Paulus
- The junior scored 20 points, shooting 5-of-11 from the field, 4-of-8 from behind the arc, and 6-of-6 from the free throw line. He added four assists to just two turnovers, and a pair of steals in 34 minutes of action.
- Paulus recorded his second 20-point game of the season and seventh of his career.
- Paulus now has 12 games scoring in double figures this season and 44 in his career. He has had eight or more points in 12 straight games and double figures in six of the last seven games.
