No. 6-ranked Duke defeated No. 7-ranked Xavier 82-64 on Saturday, December 20, 2008, in the Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J. to improve to 10-1 in the 2008-09 season.
Duke vs. Xavier Series
? Duke and Xavier met on the hardwood for the fourth time with the Blue Devils now holding a 4-0 lead in the all-time series.
? Duke won the first three meetings in the series, including two NCAA Tournament games. The Blue Devils are now 2-0 against the Musketeers at neutral sites. Duke defeated Xavier 65-60 on March 14, 1987 in the second round in Indianapolis and 66-63 on March 28, 2004 in the Elite Eight in Raleigh.
? The Blue Devils played their third game of the season against an Atlantic 10 opponent. They defeated Rhode Island 82-79 on Nov. 16 and Duquesne 95-72 on Nov. 28. Duke now holds an all-time record of 76-27 against schools currently in the Atlantic 10 conference.
? Duke has now won 14 straight games against Atlantic 10 opponents. The last loss for the Blue Devils was 59-58 versus Temple on Jan. 25, 1996.
Blue Devils In Neutral Site Games
? Duke now has a 184-59 record in neutral site games under Coach K, including a 3-0 record this season.
? The Blue Devils won two neutral site games at Madison Square Garden earlier this year to win the 2K Sports Classic Benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer Championship. They defeated Southern Illinois 83-58 in the semifinals and Michigan 71-56 in the finals.
? Duke has won 31 of its last 35 regular season neutral site games (excludes ACC and NCAA Tournament contests).

Krzyzewski Climbs Victory Ladder
? Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski earned his 813th victory as a head coach on Wednesday. He ranks fifth all-time in NCAA Division I history for career victories and is first among active coaches.
? Krzyzewski is now 17 victories shy of Jim Phelan for fourth all-time.
? Coach K now has 740 wins as the head coach at Duke, ranking him sixth in NCAA Division I history for victories at one school and second among active coaches (Jim Boeheim, Syracuse ? 771). Krzyzewski is 19 wins shy of Western Kentucky's Ed Diddle for fifth all-time.
? Krzyzewski's 813 victories are the second most by a head coach through 34 years of coaching. Only Dean Smith of North Carolina won more games with 830 victories.
