On tonight's game:
“I am really happy with my team, we beat a really good Michigan team. They are going to be a tough out in the Big 10. Coming off the UCLA win, you can see they are really confident. They are a tough team to defend and I think that was the key to the game. We did a good job on the defensive end. We got good stuff against the 1-3-1, enough to win. I thought we played really well. Well enough to win tonight.”
On Michigan's 1-3-1 zone:
“We practice against all of the zones. I think we were the only team today that came in for a practice. We came in for an hour. We respect Michigan. We knew without that preparation we had a good shot of losing this game. With that preparation we had a good chance of winning. We went over some of the things we have done before against the 1-3-1. We got good looks. We didn't have a great shooting night but I thought our attack was good. It was a winning attack, let's just put it that way.”
On the bench:
“Our bench in the first half has really been a key factor. We actually got an eight to 10-point lead with those guys on the court. That is who we are as a team. It is good that those guys have their ego where they should be so that they have confidence like starters.”
On Kyle Singler:
“Kyle is one of the best players in the country and knows how and wants to play defense. With his length, throughout his career when he is a pro player, he will be playing out in the perimeter all of the time. We like to use our guys in that manner.”
On the 2KSports Coaches v. Cancer:
“I don't think we are in a position to be upset. I thought we played well out here. You cannot allow a team to be in a position to win and we are playing not to lose. We have to play to win. That is the attitude we have tried to have on our teams all along. Most of the time our teams have exuded that type of attitude. This team we want to have that same attitude.”

On having practice today:
“Preparation with this team is huge. The coaches have put together the game plan and it is on us to do what he says and what he has in that game plan. We have total confidence in what he has to say. We just put that game plan to use on the court, play hard and execute as much as possible. I agree it was smart to come in here and prepare for Michigan.”
On his defense:
“I just stop the defender and help out as much as I can. For me I like to guard different people.”
