Duke and Georgia Tech played each other for the first time in school history when both teams were ranked in the Associated Press poll.
Junior Chante Black registered the sixth double-double of her season as she posted 16 points and 13 rebounds. She posted her double-double with a basket at the 18:32 mark of the second half. She also had four blocks, two assists and two steals.
Duke won its 28th straight game against Georgia Tech and improved the overall series to 49-7. The Blue Devils broke the Yellow Jackets' 18-game home winning streak.
The Blue Devils held a 20-2 advantage in bench points.
Duke registered 42 points in the paint, while Georgia Tech had 24.
Junior Abby Waner hit her team-best 26th three-pointer of the season in the second half breaking an 0-for-14 slump dating back the last three games. She finished the night hitting 2-of-6 treys and scoring 15 points. Waner also dished five assists, had six rebounds and three steals.
Duke held a 48-31 rebounding advantage. The Blue Devils have outrebounded its opponents in seven out of the last eight games.
Senior Wanisha Smith totaled 2-of-3 three-pointers on the night and finished with eight points, five assists, two rebounds and two steals. Smith has hit 7-of-16 treys the last three games.
Duke shot 50.0 percent from the field for only the second time this season (Penn State, 50.7%).
Sophomore Keturah Jackson came off the bench to pull down a career-high rebounds, while scoring six points in 23 minutes.
Chante Black had four blocks moving into a tie for 19th place on the ACC career blocked shots list with 160.
After hitting only two out of her last 12 three-pointers, freshman Jasmine Thomas hit her first attempt early in the first half. She went on to score nine points and hit 1-of-2 three-pointers.
Off the bench, junior Carrem Gay had an excellent game with eight points, eight rebounds, tied a career high with three blocks in 19 minutes.
Duke had 11 of 12 players available on the night with freshman Karima Christmas not available to play as she is getting over a kidney infection. The Blue Devils have had all 12 players available for only five games this season.
Duke has now won 89 out of the last 95 ACC regular season contests.
As a team, Duke blocked a total of nine shots.
For the second straight game, Duke had 24 turnovers.
Duke shot 71.4 percent from the free throw line marking the eighth time this season the Blue Devils have shot above 70.0 percent from the charity stripe.

Duke will next host second-ranked Tennessee on Monday, Jan. 28 at 7:00 p.m., on espn2. The Blue Devils will look to continue the nation's longest home court winning streak as it currently stands at 24.
