- It its 67-50 win over St. John's in New York, Duke improves to 22-7 on the season and improves to 11-5 all-time against St. John's, including 4-1 in Madison Square Garden. Duke has now won four straight in the series and is now 11-2 under coach Mike Krzyzewski. St. John's falls to 15-14 on the season.
- Duke is now 15-5 under Coach K at Madison Square Garden, including a 61-54 win over Gonzaga earlier this season. Duke has now won six straight games at MSG.
- Duke is now 100-41 all-time against teams from the Big East Conference, including 2-1 this season.
- Coach K now has 775 career wins, including 702 at Duke, in 32 years as a head coach. He broke a tie with Dean Smith and now sits atop the list for most wins in NCAA history in a coach's first 32 seasons.
- Coach K is also 702-198 at Duke in this, his 900th game. He is eighth on the NCAA chart for most wins at one school . UTEP's Don Haskins is eighth with 719.
- Sophomore Greg Paulus scored 19 points shooting 6-of-10 from the field, including 5-of-7 from behind the arc, and 2-of-2 from the free throw line. He added two steals, two rebounds and an assist in 37 minutes of action. Paulus has now scored in double figures in eight straight games and 12 of the last 13. His five three-pointers ties his career high, also set against Wake Forest on Jan. 18.
- In two games at Madison Square Garden this year, Paulus is averaging 19.5 points per game while shooting 13-of-22 from the floor and 9-of-13 from behind the arc.
- Junior DeMarcus Nelson scored 14 points, grabbed a team-high tying seven rebounds and had a pair of assists and steals against St. John's. He has scored in double figures in 10 of the last 11 games for Duke.
- Freshman Jon Scheyer scored 11 points, grabbed three rebounds and had two assists on the afternoon. Scheyer didn't record a three-pointer for just the fifth time in 29 games this season.
- Sophomore Josh McRoberts had another all-around performance with nine points, six rebounds, six blocks, four assist and two steals in 36 minutes of action. It marks his seventh career game and fourth this season with at least two in all five statistical categories. He is now tied with Mike Gminski for fifth all-time in that category.
