- With its 71-62 win over Georgia Tech, Duke improves to 20-7 on the season, including a 7-6 mark in the ACC, and improves its record to 58-22 all-time against the Yellow Jackets. Duke improves to 28-5 all-time at Cameron Indoor Stadium and has won 21 of the last 23 games against Tech. Duke is 43-17 against the Yellow Jackets under coach Mike Krzyzewski. Georgia Tech drops to 17-9 overall and 5-7 in the ACC.
- Coach K is now 700-198 at Duke, winning his 700th game with the Blue Devils in his 898th career game. His 700 wins is the eighth most in NCAA history for wins at one school. UTEP's Don Haskins is eighth with 719.
- Coach K becomes the second-fastest coach in NCAA history to win 700 games at one school. Kentucky's Adolph Rupp holds the record, accomplishing the feat in 836 games. Coach K's 898th game is six better than North Carolina's Dean Smith, who was in second with 904 games.
- Duke has now won at least 20 games 42 times in school history, including in each of the last 11 seasons and 22 times in 26 seasons under Coach K.
- Duke is now 15-3 at home, a mark tied for the second-most wins at home in Duke history. The school record for most wins at home in a season is 16.
- Under Coach K, Duke is now 271-121 in regular season ACC play, including a 153-44 mark at home and a 118-77 mark on the road. The 271 wins are the second most in ACC history.
- Duke's 15 steals was the second-highest total of the season behind 17 against UNC Greensboro on Nov. 16.
- Sophomore Josh McRoberts scored six points, had four rebounds, four assists, three blocks and two steals in 32 minutes of action.
- Freshman Jon Scheyer scored 14 points and added a career-high five steals and three rebounds. It marks Scheyer's 18th game in double figures this season.
- Sophomore Greg Paulus scored 15 points and had five rebounds and three steals against Georgia Tech. Paulus was 5-of-10 from the floor and 4-of-8 from behind the arc in 36 minutes of action. Paulus now has 15 games this season and 26 in his career in double figures.
- Junior DeMarcus Nelson scored 13 points, had three rebounds, three assists and two steals against the Yellow Jackets. Nelson now has 23 games this season and 38 in his career in double figures.

Eighth overall and second among active coaches is Arizona's Lute Olson with 777 wins. Lou Henson sits in seventh place with 779 wins while Bob Knight is the active leader with 885.
- Coach K's 773 wins in his first 32 seasons is the second most wins for any coach in NCAA history in their first 32 seasons. Dean Smith currently holds the record with 774 wins while Olson had 740 in his first 32 seasons.
