- With its 68-66 loss at Virginia, Duke falls to 18-4 on the season and is now 107-48 against the Cavaliers, including 43-16 mark under coach Mike Krzyzewski. Virginia snaps a nine game win streak for Duke in the series. Duke has still won 22 of the last 25.
- Duke held Virginia to just 29 points in the second half, meaning Duke has now held its opponents to under 30 points in a half 23 times (out of 42 halves of play).
- Duke outrebounded Virginia 34-33, marking the 19th time in 22 games this season, and seventh time in eight ACC games, that Duke has outrebounded its opponent.
- Under Coach K, Duke is now 269-118 in regular season ACC play, including a 117-76 mark on the road. He is also 152-42 at home. The 269 wins are the second most in ACC history.
- Sophomore Josh McRoberts scored 19 points, had three blocks and a pair of rebounds and assists in 43 minutes of action. It marked his 17th game scoring in double figures this season and 33rd of his career.
- Sophomore Greg Paulus scored 10 points and dished out five assists in a career-high and complete game 45 minutes of action. It marks just the second game of Paulus' career that he's scored in double figures and the Blue Devils have lost. He has 10 games in double figures this year and 21 in his career.
- Junior DeMarcus Nelson scored 12 points and grabbed four rebounds for his 19th game in double figures this season and 34th of his career.
- Sophomore David McClure, playing as a game-time decision, secured seven rebounds and had two blocks and four points in 27 minutes of action. McClure hyperextended the same knee he sat out last year rehabilitating Sunday against Clemson.
- Freshman Gerald Henderson scored five points and grabbed six rebounds.
- Freshman Lance Thomas shot a perfect 4-of-4 from the field and scored nine points and four rebounds before fouling out in 20 minutes of action.
- Freshman Jon Scheyer scored seven points and grabbed three rebounds. He didn't attempt a free throw, keeping in tact his consecutive streak of 29 free thorws, tied for the fourth-longest streak in Duke history.
