- With its 74-63 loss to Georgia Tech, Duke falls to 13-3 on the season and is now 52-21 against Georgia Tech, including 19-12 at Alexander Memorial Coliseum. Duke had won 10 straight at Georgia Tech and Duke continues to hold a 20-2 advantage over the last 22 meetings.
- Duke is 0-2 in ACC play for the first time since the 1995-96 season. It marks just the fifth time under Coach Mike Krzyzewski that Duke has opened up 0-2 in ACC play, and just the third time since 1981-82.
- Duke falls to 136-57 following a loss. Of Duke's 194 losses under Coach K, Duke has stopped the slide at one game 100 times. The current streak of two games marks just the 37th time under Coach K Duke has lost two or more straight games. Coach K's longest losing streak is four games and that has happened five times.

- Freshman Jon Scheyer scored a team-high 16 points and added four assists and a pair of rebounds. Scheyer hit 6-of-16 from the field and 3-of-10 from behind the arc. The game marked Scheyer's 10th game scoring in double-figures.
- Junior DeMarcus Nelson scored 12 points and added a team-high four assists, game high four steals and three rebounds in 35 minutes. It marks Nelson's 14th game in double figures this season and 29th such game of his career.
- Sophomore Josh McRoberts scored 12 points and added five rebounds, three steals, two assists and a block. McRoberts has 11 games this season and 26 in his career scoring in double figures.
