NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Duke men's and women's cross country teams placed fourth and 11th, respectively, at the 98th annual ECAC/IC4A Championships, held at Van Cortlandt Park, N.Y., on Saturday.
The Duke men placed fourth out of 15 teams at the IC4A Championship race, notching 103 points on five Blue Devils placing in the top 31. Taking first was William & Mary.
Three Blue Devil men received All-East honors as they posted top-25 finishes. Senior captain Keith Krieger crossed the finish line first for Duke, finishing in 25:34.70 for 14th place, while sophomore Geary Gubbins placed 16th in 25:38.30 and senior Dan Daly placed 25th in 25:54.20. The All-East honor is the second consecutive of its kind for Krieger and Daly, as Gubbins picked up his first career All-East honor.
Also finishing for Duke were Jonathan Fox (27th) and Alex Romero (31st).
The Duke women's “B” squad placed 11th out of 13 teams in the ECAC Championship race, notching 258 points. The top finisher for the Blue Devils was freshman Emily Sherrard.

The women's “A” squad, who received an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships with a second-place finish at last weekend's Southeast Regional race, will close out their season on Monday, Nov. 20 in Terre Haute, Ind.
