Opening Statement:
"We played against a team that's been playing great and played great tonight. They used their strengths great. Greg (Jackson) did a great job to prepare against us. They were able to do their mismatches better than us. They played a hell of a game, and however we played, they made us play that way."
"We were more methodical in the second half, but for most of the game, we didn't do a good job against them."
"I call them quick, decisive and well spaced. They test you on your one-on-one ability to defend the drive. In the second half, we did a much better job of that."
"We expected them to play anyone they had and exploit the mismatches - at one point, they had five guards in the game. They did a really good job."
On tying the record for most NCAA Tournament wins
"I'm glad we won. Each victory in the tournament is a treasured win. We beat an extremely well-coached team of great kids."
"If you're Duke or Delaware State, you should never assume it's your birthright to get to this tournament."
On holding Delaware State To 21.4 Percent Shooting In The Second Half
"We pulled back our defense, top-of-the-key defense - that eliminated a lot of drives. It equalizes the opportunity to get a rebound once they're spaced out, after we compacted our defense."
On Being Held To Seven Points
"They were switching on screens. I just didn't get many looks."
On His Reaction To An Offensive Foul
"I was more frustrated with that call, and I talked to the official about it - it was my fault for reacting the way I did."
On Sean Dockery's Return:
"It was a great to see Sean back out there. He's a great player and a great teammate."
"You got to give credit to Delaware State. They had a lot of confidence and played like they could win."
"It was a typical NCAA Tournament atmosphere - a lot of fans here, being close to Durham."
"The knee feels great. While I was out, I had a great respect for basketball and life. I learned a lot - I learned how to be a coach. It was just great to be back out there with my teammates."
"We have to play better to get where we want to be. We need to work on our weaknesses tomorrow in practice and get humble again."
"Early on we tried to speed them up. They're a quick team and were going by us. In the second half, we knew they were going to run the shot clock down and spread us out, so we wanted to let them take their shots, so we could get the rebounds."
"We have to move forward and move onto the next game. We need to work hard on the things we need to improve tomorrow in practice in order to prepare for Sunday's game."
