The Duke rowing staff is proud to announce the signing of three recruits to national letters of intent. Krista Harryman from Sammamish, Washington, Amber Straight from San Diego, California and Alissa Van Arnam from Syracuse, New York, will be joining the Blue Devil's roster in the fall.
"All three of these women are very athletic and will play a pivotal role in our program's success, " said head coach Robyn Horner. "We look forward to working with these athletes."
The Blue Devils rowing program is coming off its most successful season in which the varsity 8+ spent a majority of the year ranked among the top twenty nationally. Other successes in 2002, included the Cal Cup Championship at the San Diego Crew Classic and a second place finish in the ACC Championship.
Duke opens its spring season on Saturday, March 1 when they take on North Carolina at University Lake in Chapel Hill, N.C.
