UConn was led by senior Darin Lewis who netted his first career hat trick in front of a crowd of 4,485 fans. Senior Stephen Pate scored Duke's lone goal at the 69:45 mark (assisted by Danny Wymer). Jeff Haywood and Scott Maslin shared time in goal for the Blue Devils.
Duke will host the annual Duke/adidas Soccer Classic next weekend as Long Island, Butler, and N.C. State will come to town. The Blue Devils will host Long Island on Friday at 7:00 PM and then will host Butler on Saturday at 7:00 PM.
