Volleyball Knocks Off #20 Loyola Marymount, 3-2

Bloomington, Ind. (September 16) - The Duke volleyball team knocked off the 20th-ranked Loyola Marymount Lions in its second game of the Indiana Invitational, 7-15, 15-11, 11-15, 15-8, 15-11. The Blue Devils have now won seven matches in a row and will face Indiana in the invitational's final contest.

Freshman Krista Dill led the Devils with 18 kills and a hitting percentage of .500. Juniors Dorrette Burwell and Bryn Gallagher each added 16 kills. Sophomore and defensive specialist Josie Weymann had 19 digs in the macth. Junior Pam Gottfred led the Blue Devils with 56 assists.

The Blue Devils will face the Indiana Hoosiers tonight at 7:00 p.m. Duke then begins conference play next Tuesday when the Royal Blue and White head to Virginia to face the Cavaliers.
