Blue Devil Volleyball Falls To Georgia Tech In ACC Action

DURHAM, N.C. (September 28) -- The Duke volleyball opened with a game-one victory in Tuesday's match with ACC foe Georgia Tech before the Yellow Jackets stormed back to win the next three games to secure 3-1 victory. Duke falls to 5-6 overall and 1-2 in the ACC, while Georgia Tech improves to 12-3 overall and 2-0 in the ACC.

Duke senior Jami Ediger (La Habra, Calif.) led the Blue Devil efforts with 15 kills. Senior Dominique Philipp (Tampa, Fla.) added 14 kills and sophomore Pamela Gottfred (Golf, Ill.) contributed 52 assists. Defensively, sophomore Ashley Harris (Dallas, Texas) registered 17 digs.

The Yellow Jackets were led by Maja Pachale with 19 kills followed by teammate Sara McKee with 16. Setter Carolyn Clevenger provided 56 assists in the victory.

Duke returns to action on Friday, Oct. 1, when it travels to ACC-rival North Carolina for a 7 pm match.
