Michelle Bruin joined the Duke volleyball staff on August 2, 2010, and serves as the Director of Volleyball Operations.

Bruin takes on a range of responsibilities including daily office administration, organizing recruiting visits and team travel arrangements, assisting with equipment order, maintenance of alumni communication, serving as the Tournament Director for the fall and spring home tournaments and marketing the team's home matches. She also plays an important role in coordinating the team's community service projects, the annual awards banquet in the spring and a variety of other duties.

A four-year letterwinner at Miami from 2004-07, Bruin previously served stints as a Women's Marketing Specialist at Nike and in the Business Development wing of Bruin & Brady Bookkeeping.

Bruin earned Academic All-America honors at Miami as well as ACC All-Academic Team recognition. She was a three-year President's List honoree at the University of Miami and received the Undergraduate Award for Excellence in 2007.

Originally from Alkmaar, Netherlands, Bruin attended Chapel Hill High School in Chapel Hill, N.C., before attending the University of Miami. She led Chapel Hill to the North Carolina State Championship in 2003 and was named the North Carolina Volleyball Player of the Year. A 2007 graduate of Miami, she holds a degree in Sports Administration.
