Duke’s top 200-meter sprinter both indoors and outdoors in 2002, Winniford completed his sophomore year with a busy two days at the 2002 ACC Outdoor Championships in Charlottesville, Virginia.On Friday Winniford first ran a personal best in the 100-meters, sprinting 11.04, then came back to record his best-ever 200-meters in 22.24. On Saturday he anchored the sixth place 4X100-meter relay that ran 42.66 and finished up his weekend with the leadoff leg on the 4X400-meter relay for Duke, running a personal best split of 50.9 out of the blocks. Winniford ran on Duke’s No. five all-time sprint medley as a freshman with a 200 leg at the 2001 Penn Relays and was a member of the No. two all-time 4X100-meter relay that ran 41.87.
