Nagorny proved her value to the Duke program immediately with a solid cross country campaign as a freshman, culminating with an NCAA Championships appearance in Ames, Iowa. A consistent top-five scorer for Duke, Nagorny started her Duke career with a 5th place finish at the Fordham Invitational. Nagorny helped Duke to its best season ever in cross country. She also was a pioneer in the women’s steeplechase outdoors, covering the 3,000 meter race in 11:54.73.
