Junior: Had most successful cross-country season of his career by finishing all six of his races in 2007 among Duke’s top three runners, and earning his first All-East honors in the sport with an 8th place overall finish at the IC4A championships at Van Cortlandt Park. McDermott led all Blue Devil harriers across the line at the Lou Onesty meet in Charlottesville, leading Duke to a 1st place finish in a 9 team field. Kevin was #2 man for Duke at Oregon and at the Blue Ridge Open. After a demanding cross-country season, Kevin saw limited action indoors and struggled to regain his form until he clocked 9:17.07 in the 3000 steeple at the Duke Invite. He finally qualified for the IC4A championships (his third consecutive year) by clocking 9:13.66 to place 4th at the Duke Twilight meet on May 4th.
