Angelo Posillico enters his fourth season as an assistant coach of track & field (throws).

In 2024, Posillico mentored Christian Johnson, Aimar Palma Simo, and Makayla Mason to USTFCCCA All-America Second Team honors. Moorea Mitchell also qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the women’s hammer throw. Christian Johnson won Duke’s first ACC Championship in the men’s weight throw, while Palma Simo was the program’s first men’s champion in the hammer throw. All-ACC honors were earned indoors by Christian Johnson, Aimar Palma Simo, and Moorea Mitchell, with Christian Johnson, Aimar Palma Simo, Marten Gasparini, Matt Prebola, Makayla Mason, Moorea Mitchell, Julia Magliaro and Kirstin West earning conference honors during the outdoor season.

The 2023 season saw Posillico coach Dana Baker, Luke Jackson and Robbie Otal to USTFCCCA All-America Second Team honors, with Ilhame Tamrouti also qualifying for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the women’s javelin throw. All-ACC honors were earned indoors by Jordyn Shubrick. Outdoors, All-ACC honors were achieved by Robbie Otal, Scott Campbell, Luke Jackson, Joe DiDario, Moorea Mitchell, Dana Baker, Ilhame Tamrouti, and Kirstin West.
