2016-17 T&F: Raced in ten competitions during the indoor campaign…Won the 800m at the Carolina Cup (1/13), at the Bob Pollock Invitational (1/28), and at the VT Challenge (2/18)…Qualified for the ACC Indoor Championships in the 400m and set a new Duke record there with a time of 1:50.10, which was good for ninth place…Had a team best time of 2:26.51 in the 1,000m at the Hokie Invitational (1/20)… Was a member of the distance medley relay team that finished in eighth place at the ACC Indoor Championships…Competed in eight events during the outdoor season…Had three top ten finishes in the 800m, coming in second at the Battle of the Blues (4/1), in seventh in the Duke Invitational (4/22), and in tenth in the Tennessee Relays (4/8)…Came in 15th place in the 1,500m at the Duke Invitational…Clocked a combined time of 3:23.00 in the sprint medley relay, the third fastest time in school history and the best time at the Tennessee Relays (4/8)…Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.Prior to Duke: Lettered all four years under the guidance of Ed Boardman at Carlisle High School…also earned two letters as a swimmer while attending Carlisle…competed all four seasons as a varsity runner, serving as team captain for two cross country campaigns…claimed All-Mid-Penn Conference Honors three times and a Mid-Penn cross country title in 2015…two-time All-District three honoree…claimed 2016 All-State honors, as well as 2015 All-Sentinel First Team accolades…during indoor track & field season, served as a two-year captain…garnered all-state honors at 800 meters twice…named to the 2015 Pennsylvania All-State Second Team…while competing in outdoor track & field competitions, was twice named team captain for Carlisle High School…secured nine All-Mid-Penn Conference honors, including two Mid-Penn Outdoor titles (2015-4x800, 2016-1,600)…crowned the District 3 champion in 2014 (4x800) and 2016 (800)…registered two top-five finishes at 800 meters while competing at the state meet to earn two all-state honors (2015-fifth place, 2016-second place)…earned AP Scholar recognition…three-year student council and Model United Nations member…vice president and treasurer of Spanish Honor Society…named a finalist for the 2016 John Travers Student-Athlete Award.
