GROUPING CRITERIA
As athletic contributions vary from member to member, a donor receives priority based on the level of their annual gift to the Iron Dukes, record of cumulative giving, and athletic capital campaign gifts and thus is placed in a group (from 1+ through 6). Group placement is determined by meeting at least one or a combination of the criteria listed for a particular group. This grouping criteria is the basis for the distribution of tangible benefits such as priority seating opportunities for select home and away Duke athletic events, as well as for postseason ticket opportunities with the partial exception to seating in Cameron.Â
 GROUP 1+
- Iron Dukes Annual Fund or Iron Dukes Varsity Club gifts at $60,000 or higher
- Iron Dukes rank from 1-99Â (approximately $1,600,000 lifetime)
- All athletic capital campaign donors at a $60,000 annual payment or higher ($100,000 minimum pledge)
 GROUP 1
- Iron Dukes Annual Fund or Iron Dukes Varsity Club gifts at $20,000 or higher
- Iron Dukes rank from 99-199Â (approximately $1,000,000 lifetime)
- All athletic capital campaign donors at a $20,000 annual payment or higher ($50,000 minimum pledge)
 GROUP 2
- Iron Dukes Annual Fund or Iron Dukes Varsity Club gifts from $10,000 - $19,999
- Iron Dukes rank from 200-299Â (approximately $625,000 lifetime)
- All athletic capital campaign donors at $10,000 annual payment or higher ($25,000 minimum pledge)
 GROUP 3
- Iron Dukes Annual Fund or Iron Dukes Varsity Club gifts from $6,000 - $9,999
- Iron Dukes rank from 300-399Â (approximately $400,000 lifetime)
- All athletic capital campaign donors at a $6,000 annual payment or higher ($12,000 minimum pledge)
- Life members with an annual gift of $2,500 or higher
 GROUP 4
- Iron Dukes Annual Fund or Iron Dukes Varsity Club gifts from $1,250 - $5,999
- Iron Dukes rank from 400-999Â (approximately $200,000 lifetime)
- All athletic capital campaign donors at a $1,250 annual payment or higher ($5,000 minimum pledge)
- All life members not in Groups 1-3
 GROUP 5
- Iron Dukes Annual Fund or Iron Dukes Varsity Club gifts from $300 - $1,249
- Iron Dukes rank from 1000-1999Â (approximately $100,000 lifetime)
- All athletic capital campaign donors at a $300 annual payment or higher ($1,200 minimum pledge)
 GROUP 6
- Iron Dukes Annual Fund or Iron Dukes Varsity Club gifts from $120 - $299
- Iron Dukes rank from 2000Â and higher
- All current athletic capital campaign donors at a $120 annual payment or higher.
Donor priority for athletic department capital campaign gifts is based on payments made, not pledges. If a capital gift is paid-in-full the first year, the contribution amount is prorated over a five-year period (unless otherwise requested) to calculate a donor's group priority.
