Setting the Scene...
Riding an eight-game winning streak, the 13th-ranked Duke women’s basketball team (25-4, 13-3 ACC) heads into ACC Tournament action, which will be played March 1-5 at the HTC Center in Conway, S.C.
The Blue Devils are seeded No. 3 and will face either No. 6 seeded Syracuse (20-9), No. 11 seeded Pitt (13-16) or No. 14 North Carolina (14-15). Pitt will face UNC Wednesday, March 1 at 6:30 p.m., in the first round and the winner will advance to face 21st-ranked Syracuse Thursday, March 2 at 8 p.m., in the second round. The winner will advance to face the Blue Devils Friday, March 3 at 8 p.m.
If Duke were to win its quarterfinal contest Friday, the Blue Devils would advance to the semifinals on Saturday, March 4 at 2:30 p.m., live on ESPNU.
Friday’s game will be aired live on RSN-TV with Tom Werme (PXP) and Debbie Antonelli (Color) calling the action. It will also be carried on the Blue Devil IMG Sports Network on www.GoDuke.com with Chris Edwards on the air beginning at 7:45 p.m. It will be aired live on 620 AM, 99.3 FM, 96.5 FM, TuneIn Radio app and www.GoDuke.com.

With a win in the quarterfinals, the Blue Devils will advance to the semifinals of the ACC Tournament for a 2:30 p.m., contest on ESPNU.
Storylines/Other Blue Devil Notes...
• The Blue Devils went from finishing tied seventh in the ACC last season to tied second in 2016-17. Duke’s jump of five places in the ACC standings is tied for the second largest turnaround and tied for the largest turnaround for a team that ended the season in the top three of the ACC.
• The Blue Devils have won at least one game in the ACC Tournament in 21 out of the last 22 years. Only time Duke didn’t advance was against NC State in 2012.
• Duke owns a 7-1 all-time record against teams seeded No. 6 in the ACC Tournament, while the Blue Devils have never faced a No. 11 or No. 14 seed.
• The Blue Devils are seeded No. 3 for the fourth time in school history and the third time under Coach P. In those games, Duke owns a 4-3 record with two trips to the ACC Championship.
• The Blue Devils have won eight ACC Championships over the last 17 years and have advanced to the ACC title game a total of 13 times.
• Duke’s eight-game winning streak heading into ACC Tournament play is the longest under Coach P when opening postseason action and is the longest for Duke since the 2006-07 season when the Blue Devils went 30-0 in the regular season.
• With its win at UNC, Duke collected 25 wins for the 18th time in school history and the eighth time under Coach P.
• Leaonna Odom has averaged 12.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals the last two games. She has hit 10-of-14 field goals (71.4%).
• Lexie Brown is approaching 200 made field goals and has over 100 assists. Only three other Duke players have accomplished this feat -- Jasmine Thomas (2009-10), Alana Beard (2001-02, 2002-03, 2003-04) and Monique Currie (2004-05).
• Only Duke alumna Tricia Liston has made at least 62 three-point baskets while shooting at least 40.0 percent from downtown in a season. Duke has two players - Rebecca Greenwell (74 made threes, 40.1 percent and Lexie Brown (63 made threes, 40.1 percent) who are accomplishing it this season.
• This is the first time in school history Duke has started a season unranked and then moved into the top 15 of the national rankings.
• Rebecca Greenwell has moved into 12th place on Duke’s all-time scoring list and needs 11 points to move into a tie for 11th (1,427).
• Lexie Brown has averaged 22.3 points, 4.5 assists, 3.0 steals and 3.3 rebounds the last four games. She has hit 57.9 percent from the field and 42.1 percent from long range.
• In 52 career starts for Oderah Chidom, the Blue Devils have totaled a 35-17 record. Duke’s current lineup of Kendall Cooper, Chidom, Lexie Brown, Rebecca Greenwell and Kyra Lambert are 9-0 this season.
• In ACC games, Lexie Brown is responsible for 40.09 percent of Duke’s offense. Of Duke’s 419 made baskets in 16 ACC games, Brown has had a hand in 168 of those, with made 107 made baskets and 61 assists. Of Duke’s 80 made threes in ACC contests, Brown has made 36 of those (45.0 percent). • For the season, Oderah Chidom and Kendall Cooper have combined to block 99 shots. Duke’s opponents, collectively, have only blocked 73 shots.
• Rebecca Greenwell is currently on pace to become the first Duke player to average 16+ points/game, 6+ rebounds/game and 2.4+ three pointers/game.
• The Blue Devil defense is one of the best in the nation and has only allowed four teams to hit above 40.0 percent from the field -- Old Dominion (47.1), South Carolina (42.1), Florida State (45.8) and North Carolina (42.9.
• Rebecca Greenwell has scored double-digits in 12 consecutive ACC contests.
• Oderah Chidom currently ranks second in the ACC with 57 blocks. Chidom is the only player in the ACC with 30+ assists (41), 30+ steals (34) and 40+ blocks (57).
• Duke currently ranks No. 9 in the latest NCAA RPI -- UConn (1), Notre Dame (2), South Carolina (3), Baylor (4), Mississippi State (5), Oregon State (6), Washington (7), Stanford (8), Duke (9) and UCLA (10) are in the top 10.
• On the season, Duke has notched wins over No. 3 South Carolina, No. 12 Louisville, No. 14 Kentucky and No. 17 Miami (RPI rankings).
• Leaonna Odom’s 66 combined blocks and steals (29 blocks, 37 steals) are the most by any freshman in the ACC. The next closest is Gabby Cooper of Syracuse with 52 (47 steals, 5 blocks).
• Lexie Brown owns 13 games with 20+ points on the season, which ranks tied third in the ACC.
• Duke currently boasts two scorers averaging over 16.0 points a contest -- Lexie Brown (18.2) and Rebecca Greenwell (17.2). The Blue Devils have not featured two scorers averaging over 16.0 points since the 1996-97 campaign (Kira Orr - 17.5; Ty Hall - 16.3).
• With a 5.4 per game average, the Blue Devils lead the ACC and rank 24th nationally in blocks per game.
• The Blue Devils currently rank sixth nationally with a 47.6 field goal percentage.
• Sophomore Kyra Lambert ranks fifth in the ACC with a 2.0 assist/turnover ratio.
• The Blue Devils feature 13 players from 10 different states on the 2016-17 roster.

The Series with Syracuse...
Duke owns a 4-1 record versus Syracuse with the only loss in the series came a year ago on the road in New York, 86-50. Coach P has a mark of 3-1 against the Orange.
If the two teams meet in the quarterfinals, it would be the first time Duke/Syracuse will face each other in the postseason.
The Series with Pitt...
Duke owns an 8-0 record in the series with Pitt and have never faced each other in the postseason. Coach P has a record of 7-0 against the Panthers.
The Series with North Carolina...
UNC leads the series, with a 49-46 mark, but the Blue Devils have won seven in a row and 14 out of the last 16 contests.
Duke has swept UNC in the regular season a total of 13 times, including this season. Coach P has a record of 16-10 against North Carolina.
In the ACC Tournament, the Blue Devils have a 7-6 record versus the Tar Heels.
Duke Players Versus the Syracuse...
In three career games, Rebecca Greenwell has averaged 15.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.3 steals. She had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds in the last meeting earlier this season. Greenwell has hit 9-of-20 three-pointers in those games.
Oderah Chidom has averaged 13.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists in the last two games with the Orange.
In her first meeting as a Blue Devil, Lexie Brown had 11 rebounds, nine points and eight assists in 36 minutes.
ACC Tournament Win Percentage...
Head coach Joanne P. McCallie owns an ACC-best ACC Tournament winning percentage (73.9) in her nine appearances with the Blue Devils. She has notched a 17-6 record to go along with three titles.
McCallie in Tournament Play...
In her 24 years as a head coach, Joanne P. McCallie has produced a 40-15 record in league tournament action. She totaled an 8-1 mark in the North Atlantic Conference Tournament with two titles, a 10-2 record along with two titles in the America East Tournament, a 6-6 mark with one title in the Big Ten Tournament and a 17-6 mark in the ACC Tournament to go along with titles in 2010, 2011 and 2013.
Blue Devils in the ACC Tournament...
Duke enters the ACC Tournament without much postseason experience. Both Crystal Primm and Oderah Chidom started two contests in last year’s tournament and Rebecca Greenwell started two games as a freshman in 2014-15.
Oderah Chidom averaged 14.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 1.0 assists in two contests a year ago.
Rebecca Greenwell missed last year’s ACC Tournament with a back injury, but averaged 13.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals as a freshman in 2014-15. She hit 3-of-9 treys.
Lexie Brown started one ACC Tournament game for Maryland in 2013-14 and had 10 points, four assists and one steal.
Duke in the ACC Tournament...
The Blue Devils own a 45-31 overall record in the ACC Tournament and have won at least one game in 21 out of the last 22 years.
In ACC Tournament games played at sites other than Greensboro, N.C., Duke owns a record of 9-22 in those contests with two appearances in the championship game in 1995 and 1996.
All eight ACC Championships won by the Blue Devils have come in Greensboro, N.C.
The tournament has been played in the state of South Carolina only six times and in those games Duke has a record of 4-10. The last time the tournament appeared in South Carolina was in 1996 in Rock Hill, S.C.
Not Her First Rodeo...
As a sophomore at Maryland, Lexie Brown was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Big Ten Tournament. She averaged 21.0 points, 3.7 assists, 1.7 steals and 3.0 rebounds in three contests. Maryland won the title over Ohio State and Brown hit eight three-pointers during the tournament.
Offense Clicking...
Heading into ACC Tournament play, the Blue Devil offense is connecting on all cylinders averaging 85.7 points, hitting 53.3 percent from the field and 47.2 percent from downtown.
The Blue Devils scored 70+ points in three straight league games for the first time this season, while holding an 11.3 rebounding advantage.
Lexie Brown (23.7 points) and Rebecca Greenwell (23.3 points) have led the way.
Lambert with Double-Double...
In the regular season finale, Kyra Lambert made a splash registering her first collegiate double-double with a career-high 13 assists and 12 points.
Lambert dished a Duke record eight assists in the fourth quarter and her 13 assists ranks tied for the third-most in school history.
Her 12 points broke an eight-game stretch where she failed to reach double-digit points.
50/40/90 Club...
Duke redshirt junior Lexie Brown is posting some outstanding numbers this season. She is hitting 49.6 percent from the field, 40.1 percent from three-point land and 92.5 percent from the charity stripe. Brown is the only player in the nation who is shooting .490+ from the field, .400+ from behind the arc, .920+ at the line and averaging 18.0+ points per game. She is close to becoming just the second Blue Devil to join the 50/40/90 club, joining Jenni Kraft in 1988-89. Kraft hit 51.0 FG, 53.9 from three and 90.0 percent from the line.
70 Treys...
With six more three-pointers made at UNC, Rebecca Greenwell became just the fifth player in ACC history to hit 70+ three-pointers in three consecutive seasons joining Ivory Latta of UNC (2005-07), Jennifer Howard of NC State (1995-97), Brianna Butler of Syracuse (2014-16) and Kelly Hughes of Boston College (2014-16).
Impressive First Season...
Lexie Brown is currently averaging 18.2 points a game in her first season at Duke. No Duke player since Chris Moreland has scored more than 17.0 ppg in her first season with their Blue Devils.
Moreland’s 17.6 ppg in 1984-85 currently stands as the Duke record for most points a game in a single debut season.
Alana Beard put up a 17.0 average in her debut season in 2000-01.
In ACC games only, Lexie Brown ranked second in free throw percentage (94.2), fifth in scoring (18.7), ninth in assists (3.8), tied for sixth in three-point field goals made (2.3), sixth in three-point field goal percentage (40.9) and second in steals (2.6).
A Family Affair...
As the Blue Devils head to Conway, S.C., for the ACC Tournament, sophomore Crystal Primm is looking forward to seeing her father, Terry, who is an assistant coach with Coastal Carolina women’s basketball team.
She will have limited time as Duke is scheduled to arrive Thursday, March 2 and the Coastal Carolina squad heads to play Appalachian State on March 4 in Boone, N.C.
Terry Primm is in his second season as an assistant coach with the Chanticleers.
Greenwell/Brown in Top 10 List...
For the third time in three years, Rebecca Greenwell has etched her name onto the Duke single season made three-pointers list. She currently owns 74 to rank tied third and break her previous career bests.
Lexie Brown moved into a tie for 10th as well with her 63 treys on the season.

After going through a stretch where she struggled scoring, Rebecca Greenwell has turned it on recently. Over the last seven games, Greenwell has averaged 20.1 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.9 steals.
She has hit 53.4 percent of her field goals and 51.2 percent from the charity stripe.
Greenwell totaled back-to-back 20+ point games for the first time this season during that stretch.
60-60 Club...
For the first time in school history, Duke features two players with 60 or more three-pointers made in a season -- Rebecca Greenwell (74) and Lexie Brown (63).
The previous high was the 1998-99 season when Nicole Erickson and Hilary Howard both had over 50 treys.
In the ACC, Duke, Louisville and Syracuse are the only teams to feature two players with 60+ made treys – Rebecca Greenwell (74) and Lexie Brown (63) for Duke, Asia Durr (95) and Mariya Moore (63) of Louisville and Gabby Cooper (62) and Alexis Peterson (74) of Syracuse.
