DURHAM, N.C. – Fans traveling to the Duke University West Campus on Sunday, March 22 should be aware of the following parking alerts for the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament Second Round Game at 12:00 PM in Cameron Indoor Stadium, Duke Women’s Tennis vs. Virginia at 11:00 AM in Ambler Tennis Stadium and Duke Men’s Tennis vs. Wake Forest at 3:00 PM in Ambler Tennis Stadium. Please review the information below, the linked game day parking map, and provided driving directions to know which lots will be available and the best travel routes to campus. Please leave extra time in your travels to avoid delays and listen to the directions of parking staff as they direct fans to available parking areas.
NCAA WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT PARKING INFORMATION
Iron Duke Parking for NCAA Women’s Basketball – Iron Duke parking operations will be in effect for holders of Duke Women’s Basketball Iron Duke parking passes for the NCAA Women’s Basketball Second Round. Iron Duke Lots will open at 8:00 AM. Iron Duke members should proceed to their regular season parking locations and provide his/her name to the parking attendant at the lot entrance for access.
General Public Parking for NCAA Women’s Basketball – General Public parking for the NCAA Women’s Basketball Second Round is located in the Blue Zone Lots on Wannamaker Drive off of Duke University Road. There is no charge to park. The Blue Zone lots will be open at 8:00 AM.
General Public Parking for Persons with Disabilities for NCAA Women’s Basketball – General Public parking for persons with disabilities for the NCAA Women’s Basketball Second Round is located in the Science Drive Visitors’ Lot located on Science Drive. The Science Drive Visitors’ Lot will open at 8:00 AM. There is no charge to park. Shuttles for Persons with Mobility Impairments and an ADA Lift equipped van will begin operation at 10:00 AM and run until one (1) hour post-game.
An accessible drop-off and pick-up point for persons with disabilities is located in front of Cameron Indoor Stadium. To access the drop-off and pick-up point, please see the attendant located at the entrance to Whitford Drive. Post-game access to the accessible drop-off and pick-up point is not permitted until post-game pedestrian and vehicle egress traffic clears Whitford Drive.
Bus Parking for NCAA Women’s Basketball – Bus parking for the NCAA Women’s Basketball Second Round is located in the Grounds Lot located off of Frank Bassett Drive off of NC 751/Cameron Blvd. There is no charge to park.
NCAA WOMEN’S BASKETBALL POST-GAME TRAFFIC ALERT
Heavy Traffic Expected from 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM – Fans should expect heavy traffic around campus due to ingress for the Durham CROP Walk/Run and post-game egress for the NCAA Women’s Basketball Second Round game. Please follow the directions of traffic officers and parking staff as they direct fans away from congested areas. Fans leaving are strongly encouraged to use the following routes as they leave their game day parking lots:
• Blue Zone Lots – Wannamaker Drive to Duke University Road
• Grounds Lot – Exit directly onto NC 751/Cameron Blvd.
• Bassett Drive, Science Drive Visitors Lot, Whitford Lot, Public Policy Lot – Left on Science Drive to NC 751/Cameron Blvd.
• Card Gym Lot – Right on Towerview Road to Duke University Road OR Left on Towerview Road, Left on Science Drive to NC 751/Cameron Blvd.
DUKE TENNIS PARKING INFORMATION
General Public Parking for Women’s and Men’s Tennis – General Public parking for Duke Women’s and Men’s Tennis will be located in the Blue Zone Lots on Wannamaker Drive off of Duke University Road. The Blue Zone Lots will open at 8:00 AM. There is no charge to park.
General Public Parking for Persons with Disabilities for Women’s and Men’s Tennis – General Public parking for persons with disabilities for Duke Men’s Tennis will be located in the Card Gym Lot located off of Towerview Road. The Card Gym Lot will open at 8:00 AM. An accessible drop-off/pick-up point is available for persons with disabilities in the Card Gym Lot located immediately outside Ambler Tennis Stadium. To access this lot for parking or drop-off/pick-up, please speak to the parking attendant.
