The Injury Report...
Junior Chante Black suffered a setback recently in the recovery from her right knee hyperextension, which occurred back on Oct. 14. She was progressing well until she got tied up in practice with a male practice player and is now listed as doubtful for the Michigan contest. She has missed the first four games and no timetable is set for her return.
Bales Moves Up In ACC Record Book...
As Alison Bales enters her final year with the Blue Devils, she is on the verge of becoming the ACC’s all-time leader in blocked shots. Bales moved into third place on the ACC career list with her nine blocks against Penn State in the last game and now owns 306 for her career. She needs 25 more to move past Virginia’s DeMya Walker (330) to become the all-time leader.
Bales also needs 11 rejections to move into the top-25 of the NCAA all-time blocked shots list. As a junior, Bales moved past Sarah Sullivan (212) to become Duke’s all-time leader in blocked shots.
Senior Lindsey Harding owns 466 assists over her four years, which ranks third on Duke’s all-time list. She needs 67 to move past Hilary Howard for first. On the career steals chart, Harding is sixth with 220.
