ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Chris Duhon scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead No. 2 Duke to a 76-47 victory Friday night in the semifinals of the Great Alaska Shootout.
The Blue Devils (3-0) broke open a close game with a 14-4 run at the start of the second half. Duke will play Purdue for the tournament title on Saturday.
Daniel Ewing and Duhon started the second half with consecutive layins and the rout was on. The Blue Devils held Liberty to just 13 second-half points until less than five minutes remained.
Duke shot just 31 percent from the field in the first half but 59 percent in the second half. Ewing led Duke with 13 points, and Luol Deng added 11.
Jason Sarchet's 11 points helped Liberty stay close in the first half, but the Flames were hurt by 14 turnovers, five blocked shots and a shooting percentage of just 26 percent.
Liberty (1-3) led 14-13 until J.J. Redick hit a 3-pointer at 10:36 that started a 7-0 Blue Devils' run.
Despite making just two field goals over the final 11 minutes, the Flames trailed only 27-20 at halftime. Duke shot just 3-for-7 from the free throw line in the period and committed 10 turnovers.
Sarchet finished with 16 points and five rebounds for Liberty. Gabe Martin added 14 points, including 12 in the second half.
