GREENVILLE, N.C. - Duke's women's cross country "B" team finished in second place and the men's "B" team finished in fourth place on Saturday in the North Carolina Intecollegiate Cross Country Championships at Overton's Lake Kristi. The Blue Devils' top finishers were Meaghan Leon and Eric Amdisen.
Leon finished second overall (18:00) out of 46 finishers. Lauren Matic rounded out the top five (18:06) and Elizabeth Wort finished in the top 10 (8th, 18:18). Allison Hofmann finished in 23rd place (19:03) and Kristen Heitzinger finished in 27th (19:11).
Amdisen finished in sixth place (24:56) out of 67 finishers. Keith Rand placed 17th (25:53) and Cameron Bell finished 25th (26:27). Aaron Paul and Charles Dielmann finished 27th (26:30) and 52nd (27:52), respectively.
Eight women's teams and seven men's teams participated in the North Carolina Intercollegiate Cross Country Championships.
Duke's travels to Terre Haute, Ind., next weekend, Oct. 19, for the Pre-NCAA Cross Country Meet, hosted by Indiana State.
