Former Blue Devil team captain Ed Douglas serves as a volunteer assistant coach with Duke's lacrosse program.
Douglas lettered four seasons as a midfielder for the Blue Devils from 2004-07, and served as a captain on Duke's 2007 club that went 17-3, captured both the ACC regular season and tournament championships and appeared in the national title game for the second time in three seasons.
A native of Baltimore, Md., Douglas played in 58 career games at Duke, helping the Blue Devils to 45 wins in his career, and earned second team Academic All-America honors as a senior. He was a four-time honoree on the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
Douglas graduated from Duke in 2006 with a degree in biomedical engineering and is currently pursuing a master's degree in liberal studies.
