2018-19 T&F: Competed in six meets during the season … set a personal record in the triple jump of 10.69m at the Dick Taylor Carolina Cup (1/12), placing fourth … at the Hokie Invitational (1/18), registered a PR in the 200m with a time of 24.62, earning fourth place … helped Duke take second in the 4x400m relay at the Dr. Sander Columbia Challenge (1/24) with a time of 3:41.03 … was part of the 4x100m relay team that finished second with a time of 46.70 at the HPU VertKlasse Meeting (3/21) … finished fifth in the 100m at the Battle of the Blues (4/6) with a PR time of 12.37.

Prior to Duke: Attended Leonard High School in Leonard, Texas, lettering four years in track under head coach Rae Holden as part of a successful prep career … a three-time Texas State Champion in both the 4x200m and 4x400m, and a two-time Texas State Champion in the 4x100m and long jump … took home the Texas State Championship in the triple jump her junior campaign … helped her 4x400m squad capture the USTAF Junior Olympic National Championship … named Co-MVP of the track team both her freshman and sophomore year, while being selected as the MVP her junior season … received All-State honors her junior season … selected as the All-Texomaland Female Track and Field Athlete of the Year in both 2017 and 2018 … competed as a member of the Team Quest Track Club … ranked in the top 10 percent of her class academically … served as a member of the beta club for four years, a member of the yearbook staff for two years, and a member of the student government for one year.

Personal: Daughter of Eddie and Christy Simmons … born on Feb. 10, 2000 … has one brother Caleb, and one sister, Kelcie … her sister is also a member of the Duke track and field team.
