Aminah Vega helped guide the Duke offense to a 12-5 road win at Liberty Wednesday before capturing the fifth straight series victory over the Tar Heels on Sunday. In the four-game week, Vega finished 9-for-12 (.750) at the plate, tallying four doubles, four home runs and five runs driven in. Tennessee enters the midweek matchup with a 37-6 overall record and 12-6 mark in SEC action. The Lady Vols have won seven of their last eight games, including a conference series sweep at Kentucky over the weekend. Tennessee outscored the Wildcats, 21-3, during the three-game set to secure its fourth SEC series victory of the season. Offensively, the Lady Vols are led by junior Sophia Knight's .433 batting average. Knight also leads the team in hits (52) and stolen bases (12). The Tennessee pitching staff has combined for 337 strikeouts over 278 innings of work with an ERA of 1.11. They have allowed 57 runs in 43 games with 17 shutouts.

Duke and Tennessee are set to clash for just the second time in program history on Wednesday night. The first all-time meeting came last season with the Volunteers claiming a 1-0 victory over the Blue Devils in Knoxville.
