DURHAM, N.C. – Duke track and field sophomore
Braelyn Baker garnered ACC Women's Outdoor Track Performer of the Week honors following a pair of phenomenal races at the Raleigh Relays this past weekend.
Baker represented the Blue Devils in the women's 400-meter dash and 400 hurdles and turned in top-two placements in both events. The Carnation, Washington, standout clocked 50.80 – No. 1 in the NCAA – en route to securing the win and slotting herself atop the program charts. Her 400 time also dismantled the meet and facility records. In the 400 hurdles, Baker hit the tape in a personal best of 55.77 – No. 2 in the NCAA – to earn the second-place finish and move into a tie for No. 2 all-time in program history.
Duke returns to the track next week for the first of two home meets this season. The Blue Devils host the Duke Invitational April 8-11 at Morris Williams Stadium.
