DURHAM, N.C. – Duke track and field senior
Matthew Prebola was named the ACC Men's Outdoor Field Performer of the Week following a standout showing at the High Point Bob Davidson Team Challenge this past weekend.
Prebola competed in the men's javelin and turned in a personal best to claim the first-place finish. The Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania, product came through with his best throw on the second attempt, launching the javelin 70.29m (230-7 feet) en route to winning the event by more than 23 feet. Prebola's mark currently ranks first in the ACC and No. 5 nationally.
Duke returns to action this weekend, heading up Tobacco Road to compete at the Raleigh Relays, set for Mar. 26-28 at the Paul Derr Track & Field Facility.
