DURHAM, N.C.— For the second tournament in a row, the Duke women's golf program will head to the state of South Carolina as the 11th-ranked Blue Devils will compete in the Old Barnwell Derby Match Play at Old Barnwell in Aiken, South Carolina from March 15-17.
Due to predicted inclement weather coming in Monday, the tournament has been moved to Sunday and Tuesday with Monday being an off day.
Seeing action will be Auburn, Wake Forest, Duke, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Florida State, South Carolina and Alabama. The teams are listed in seed order with the Blue Devils earning the No. 3 seed.
Duke will travel a lineup that includes graduate student
Andie Smith, junior
Katie Li, sophomore
Carla De Troia, sophomore
Anna Cañado Espinal and freshman
Rianne Malixi.
The Blue Devils will open action Sunday morning against sixth-seeded Florida State at 9:15 a.m., on hole No. 10. On Sunday afternoon, the winning team will face the winner of the second-seeded Wake Forest and seventh-seeded South Carolina match, while the losing team will face the losing team of the Demon Deacons and Gamecocks contest.
The teams will close action Tuesday with one match.
