DURHAM, N.C. — As Duke wrestling redshirt junior
Connor Barket prepares to compete in the 2026 NCAA Wrestling Championship next week, the NCAA has released the seedings and brackets for the championship, which will be held March 19-21 at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
Â
Barket, a product of West Lafayette, Indiana, received the No. 24 seed and will face ninth-seeded Cole Mirasola of Penn State. Mirasola, a redshirt freshman, has collected a 17-6 overall ledger and finished fifth at the Big Ten Championship this past Sunday.Â
Â
Mirasola is currently ranked No. 7 nationally, while Barket comes in at No. 30.
Â
On the season, Barket has totaled a 21-7 record and is coming off a fifth-place finish at the ACC Championship this past weekend. It marked the second year in a row Barket has placed fifth at ACCs.Â
Â
He will be making his second-straight appearance in the NCAA Championship as he qualified a season ago as well.
Â
Barket's 21 wins on the season ranks tied for sixth on Duke's single-season record charts. He now owns the fifth-highest and sixth-highest single-season win totals in program history as he totaled 24 victories in 2025.
Â
Barket is the 19th Duke wrestler to advance to the NCAA Championship multiple times and the first since Matt and Josh Finesilver advanced for the third and fourth times in their careers, respectively.Â
