DURHAM, N.C. – Duke softball welcomes No. 11 Virginia Tech to Smith Family Stadium for a three-game conference series, beginning Friday at 6 p.m.

Duke (16-9, 3-0 ACC) closed out its six-day road trip with a 6-2 victory over No. 23 South Carolina Tuesday night at Carolina Softball Stadium. Seven different Blue Devils combined to make up Duke's 11 hits on the night. SeniorÂ
Aminah Vega guided the offense, batting a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate. The DeBary, Florida, native was just a home run shy of hitting for the cycle after tallying a single, double and triple during the contest. She also drove in two of Duke's six runs for her seventh multi-RBI game of the season. Classmate
Cassidy Curd earned the win inside the circle, tossing her third complete game in as many appearances. She surrendered two runs off six hits while fanning three to improve to 9-2 on the year.

Virginia Tech brings an impressive 22-2 record into the matchup, including a 15-game win streak. The Hokies are coming off a 14-2 win over Elon in six innings Wednesday night, marking the program's seventh run-rule victory of the season. Offensively, three Hokies are batting over .400 in Jordan Lynch (.474), Zoe Yaeger (.412) and Michelle Chatfield (.403). Virginia Tech has multiple weapons in the circle with six different arms splitting the innings. Bree Carrico owns a team-best 1.82 ERA with 54 strikeouts in 42.1 innings. She holds a perfect 5-0 record after 13 appearances on the year.
