DURHAM, N.C. — For the second year in a row, Duke redshirt junior
Connor Barket will appear in the NCAA Wrestling Championship as he received an at-large invitation to compete March 19-21 at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.Â
Â
A native of West Lafayette, Indiana, Barket has collected a 21-7 record on the season and is coming off a fifth-place finish at the ACC Championship this past weekend. His 21 wins on the season ranks tied for sixth on Duke's single-season record charts. Barket now owns the fifth-highest and sixth-highest single-season win totals in program history as he totaled 24 victories a season ago.
Â
Blue Devil head coach
Glen Lanham has now sent at least one wrestler to the NCAA Championship in 13 of his 14 seasons at the helm.
Â
Barket is the 19th Duke wrestler to advance to the NCAA Championship multiple times and the first since Matt and Josh Finesilver advanced for the third and fourth times in their careers, respectively.Â
