DURHAM, N.C.—Duke men's lacrosse attackman
Kyle Colsey has been named to the USILA Team of the Week following his eight-point outing against Vermont last weekend.
Colsey tallied six goals and dished two assists to help the Blue Devils to a commanding 22-6 victory against Vermont Sunday. The Ridgefield, Connecticut native registered four goals and two assists in the first half before adding two more in the second half to finish with a sock trick in just his third collegiate game.
After missing the 2025 season to injury, Colsey transferred to Duke and gave the Blue Devils' offense a boost with nine goals and five assists in his first three outings. He has at least two points in every game this season with his 14 points after three outings sitting at third most by a Duke freshman in the past 20 years.
Colsey is one part of Duke's trio of freshmen scorers that include
Michael Ortlieb and
Brady Scioletti. The trio has combined for 31 points this season – 34 percent of Duke's scoring this year.
The seventh-ranked Blue Devils return to action Saturday, Feb. 21 against Jacksonville. Faceoff is set for 12 p.m., on Freeman Field at Koskinen Stadium.
