DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke football creative content team has won an Emmy Award as the Nashville/Midsouth Regional Emmy Chapter announced its recipients.Â
In the category of Sports Story/News Feature (no production time limit), the Blue Devils' 2024 Victory Bell recap video was selected among the seven nominees. Among the seven nominees, four were from professional franchises or news organizations. Only Duke and the University of North Carolina were collegiate submissions.
The Victory Bell video was produced and edited by Associate Director of Creative Video Zach Smith. The Emmy is the first for Smith and Duke football.Â
The Nashville/Midsouth Regional Chapter is one of 19 nationwide chapters of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS), which is a professional service organization dedicated to the advancement of the arts and sciences of television and the promotion of creative leadership for artistic, educational and technical achievements within the television industry.
Each chapter awards its own Emmy Awards. The Nashville/Midsouth Region, founded in 1984, encompasses the states of North Carolina (except Asheville) and Tennessee, and the television market of Huntsville, Alabama.
