JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Duke women's golf team will head to the state of Florida this weekend as the Blue Devils prepare to open the 2026 slate in the Sea Best Intercollegiate Jan. 26-27 at the 5,948-yard, par-72 San Jose Country Club in Jacksonville.
Seeing action this week will be Daytona State College, Duke, Jacksonville, Middle Tennessee State, Palm Beach State College, Samford, Seminole State College, Stetson, Florida, Richmond and South Carolina-Upstate.
Each team will play 36 holes Monday followed by 18 holes Tuesday with a shotgun start both days at 8:30 a.m.
Duke will travel a lineup that includes graduate student
Andie Smith, junior
Katie Li, sophomore
Carla De Troia, freshman
Rianne Malixi and freshman
Avery McCrery. Both sophomore
Anna Cañado Espinal and sophomore
Martina Yu will compete as individuals.
The Blue Devils will compete in the Sea Best Intercollegiate for the first time in program history.
Duke is coming off a fall campaign where the Blue Devils won the Windy City Collegiate Classic for the first time in program history along with finishing runner-up at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational. Smith and Li led the Blue Devils in four tournaments with a 71.42 and 71.83 stroke average, respectively. Four different Duke golfers turned in rounds in the 60s with Smith, Li and McCrery leading the charge with six rounds of even or under par.
Smith, a native of Hobe Sound, returns to her home state of Florida this week and will compete in her 100th round when she tees off Monday morning.
