DURHAM, N.C. – Duke fencing freshman
Abdelrahman Tolba has been tabbed the ACC Men's Fencer of the Week following his standout performance at the Philadelphia Invitational this past weekend.
In his Duke debut, Tolba helped guide the No. 8 Duke men to a 7-1 record, which included ranked wins over No. 9 Penn State (18-9), No. 13 NYU (18-9) and No. 15 UCSD (14-13). Individually, the Cairo, Egypt, product went a perfect 17-0 in his foil bouts while aiding the foil squad to a 60-12 overall mark across two days of competition.
The Blue Devils return to the strip this weekend, this time making the trip to University Park, Pennsylvania, for the Penn State Invitational. All the action will take place Jan. 25 at the Mary B. White Building.
