Duke (4-0-0) continues its three-match homestand Thursday, Sept. 4 as the third-ranked Blue Devils welcome VMI (0-4-1) to Koskinen Stadium at 7 p.m.
Thursday's contest will be aired live on ACC Network Extra with Zach Berly calling the action.
Senior Devin Lynch (Co-Offensive Player of the Week) and Cameron Roller (Defensive Player of the Week) were honored this week by the ACC.Â
Of Duke's four victories, two have come against ranked opponents -- No. 11 Penn State and No. 8 Arkansas.Â
Duke closes non-conference action at home Sunday as the Blue Devils host Alabama live on ACC Network at 1:30 p.m.Â
All of the Blue Devils' home matches will be aired on either ACC Network, ESPNU or ACC Network Extra.
First year head coach Kieran Hall has kicked off his career with the Blue Devils with a 4-0 ledger.
Duke scored a goal in the first half in 19 out of 22 matches in 2024, including nine out of the final 10 contests. Dating back to last season, the Blue Devils have scored a goal in the first half in 11 out of the last 14 matches.
 STORYLINES/OTHER BLUE DEVIL NOTES
If the Blue Devils win Thursday against VMI, Duke will open the season with a 5-0 ledger for the first time since 2021.Â
Duke boasts a 16-match unbeaten streak at home in Koskinen Stadium. The Blue Devils also feature a 14-match winning streak versus non-conference opponents at home.
Kat Rader ranks second in the ACC with a 1.0 assist per game average and is tied for second with four dishes. Caroline Dysartranks first in the league in goals-against average (.000) and save percentage (1.000).Â
Mia Oliaro has scored a goal or registered an assist in 13 of the past 19 matches. In 46 contests in college, when she nets a point in a game her team is undefeated (16-0-1).
Duke and VMI will meet for the first time in program history when the Keydets come to town on Thursday.
 SCOUTING VMI
VMI is in its first season under head coach Jim Robbins, who previously served as head coach of the USL W League's South GA Tormenta FC.
The Keydets returned two of their top three scorers from the 2024 squad in senior Riley Boucher (9 goals) and junior Barret Callejo (4 goals). Freshman Taliyah Headman currently leads the team in scoring with two goals on the season.
VMI enters the match with an 0-4-1 record after falling on the road Sunday to UNC Asheville, 0-2.
 DUKE VERSUS THE SOUTHERN CONFERENCE
Duke holds a record of 28-5-0 against SoCon schools. The Blue Devils last faced a SoCon team on September 8, 2024, in Durham, in a 5-0 win against ETSU.
The Blue Devils have won eight straight matches against Southern Conference schools. The last loss to a Southern Conference school was in 2009 to UNCG.Â

Redshirt junior Kat Rader tied a career high with two assists against Penn State and junior Mia Oliaro also tied a career high with two assists in her first start of the season against Northwestern.
Of Duke's 25 student-athletes on the 2025 roster, a total of 11 of those are from the state of California.Â
Kat Radernow owns 10 career game-winning goals, which ranks tied for eighth on Duke's all-time charts.
 LAST TIME OUT
Duke held a 21-2 shot advantage and had dominated possession, but came away with a 1-0 victory Sunday against Creighton.
Avery Oderregistered the game-winner off an assist from Kat Rader at the 50:34 mark of the match.Â
Caroline Dysartcollected her third shutout in a row in goal as she played the full 90 minutes.Â
 BIG TIME WINS
Duke now owns two wins against a pair of top-11 ranked opponents -- No. 11 Penn State and No. 8 Arkansas.
The Blue Devils and Tennessee are the only teams nationally with two wins against top-11 ranked foes.Â
 ROLLER, LYNCH EARN ACC HONORS
The Duke tandem of Devin Lynch and Cameron Rollerreceived ACC weekly accolades Tuesday. Lynch was tabbed the ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week, while Roller earned ACC Defensive Player of the Week.
The third-ranked Blue Devils registered an impressive, 2-0, win on the road at eighth-ranked Arkansas and then closed the weekend with a 1-0 victory over Creighton, to move to 4-0 on the season.
On the road at No. 8 Arkansas, Lynch assisted on the game-winning goal in the first half and then put the game away with her first goal of the season late in the second half. Lynch played the entire 90 minutes and took three shots, including two on goal. Her three points were a season high and matched a career high.
Roller continues to lead Duke's young backline as the Blue Devils' center back. A product of Sherman, Texas, Roller played the entire 90 minutes in both of Duke's victories this week against No. 8 Arkansas and Creighton. She helped limit the Razorbacks to zero goals for the first time this year and limited them to 12 shot attempts.
 DUKE DEFENSE PLAYING BIG
Duke's defensive unit, headlined by Hermann Trophy candidate Cameron Roller has been stellar this season.
After allowing two goals in the first half against No. 11 Penn State, the Blue Devils haven't allowed a score over the last 343:33.
Along with Roller on the defensive unit, freshmen Lexi Coughlin and Daya King have been impressive starting all four matches. Duke's Mia Oliaro and Elle Piper have also been huge, while the rest of the Blue Devil squad has defended excellent.Â
Caroline Dysarthas seen action in 315 minutes without allowing a score as well.Â
Duke is allowing only 6.5 shots a contest and allowed only nine shots on goal this season.
 DUKE TRIO LEADING IN SCORING
Duke's Mia Minestrella(3 goals, 2 assists), Kat Rader(2 goals, 4 assists) and Avery Oder (3 goals) have opened the season with strong starts to pace the Blue Devils.
Minestrella's and Rader lead Duke with eight points each.
With her two game-winning goals against Penn State and Arkansas, Minestrella leads the Blue Devils.Â
Minestrella tallied two goals and an assist in the opener against Penn State and then notched an assist against Northwestern.
Rader posted two assists versus Penn State and then added two goals against Northwestern.
Oder has tallied goals against Penn State, Northwestern and Creighton.
Duke featured a multiple goal scorer in each of the first two matches for only the fourth time in program history -- 2024, 2015, 2008 and 1997.
 IMPRESSIVE FRESHMAN
Avery Oder has turned in an impressive start to her rookie Blue Devil career with goals in her opening two matches.Â
She became the 19th Blue Devil freshman to score a goal in her first collegiate start and the first since Michelle Cooper in 2021.
Oder is one of only eight Duke players to notch goals in their first two collegiate starts.Â
She opened her Duke career with a bang against Penn State by registering a goal 3:20 into play.Â
Oder's goal at the 3:20 mark of the first half was the fifth-quickest goal to open a season in Blue Devil history. It was the second-quickest tally by a Duke freshman in program history.
She added her third goal of the season Sunday, which was the game-winner, against Creighton.
Oder was the No. 6 overall recruit in the 2025 class.
 DYSART NETS THREE CONSECUTIVE SHUTOUTS
Sophomore Caroline Dysart made her first collegiate start against Northwestern and registered a shutout and victory in the outing.
Dysart made an impressive save in the second half to keep the Wildcats off the board.Â
On the road at eighth-ranked Arkansas, she had a career-high five saves and notched her second shutout in as many contests.Â
She totaled another shutout Sunday against Creighton as Duke limited the Bluejays to only two shots.
In 315 minutes played on the season, Dysart has not allowed a goal and posted seven saves.Â
She ranks first in the ACC in goals-against average (.000) and save percentage (1.000).Â
