DURHAM, N.C. – Seven different Blue Devils scored as the third-ranked Duke women's soccer team registered a 9-0 victory Thursday evening inside Koskinen Stadium. The nine goals tied a school record for the sixth time in program history.Â

A total of 23 different Duke student-athletes saw action in the contest, while
Kat Rader (3),
Jocelyn Travers,
Avery Oder,
Mia Minestrella,
Taylor Evans,
Sophia Recupero and
Farrah Walters each found the back of the net.Â

With the victory, Duke moved to 5-0 on the year, while the Keydets dropped to 0-5-1.Â

How It Happened
- After an hour and a half weather delay, the Blue Devils and Keydets took the field Thursday evening.
- Duke jumped out to a 1-0 lead 8:18 into the match as freshman Avery Oder drove into the box and sent a cross in front of the goal where redshirt junior Kat Rader was there for the finish.
- The Blue Devils added a second goal a little over two minutes later as junior Mia Oliaro went through two Keydets and bodied the ball to junior Mia Minestrella, who hit the back of the net off the VMI keeper's hands.
- At the 13:05 mark, Duke featured some very impressive one-touch passing between Carina Lageyre, Minestrella, Rader and Oder.A product of Calabasas, Calif., Oder finished her fourth tally of the season to give the Blue Devils a 3-0 lead.
- Duke made it 4-0 in the 31st minute as senior Julia Saunicheva drove towards the edge of the box and served a ball in front of the goal.A VMI defender headed the ball away to sophomore Sophia Recupero and found senior Farrah Walters for her first of the season.
- The Recupero/Walters duo found each other once again in the 43rd minute, but it was the opposite finishing as Recupero tallied her first goal of the year to give Duke a 5-0 lead.
- The Blue Devils held a 19-1 shot advantage in the first half with 10 different Duke players attempting a shot.
- Rookie Jocelyn Travers got into the scoring column in the 63rd minute as she blasted a left-footed shot from 24 yards out that went over the goalkeeper's hands and into the top of the net, to put Duke ahead, 6-0.
- In the 75th minute, Rader registered her second goal of the evening as junior Kaeden Koons-Perdikis sent a cross into the box and Rader finished the goal off a deflection into the bottom left corner.
- With less than two minutes remaining, senior Taylor Evans headed in her first collegiate goal, off an assist from Recupero as Duke took an 8-0 lead.
- As time was expiring, Saunicheva and freshman Kaylee Kim found a streaking Rader, who beat the VMI keeper and finished in a wide-open goal with six seconds remaining as Duke tied a school record with nine goals.

- The Blue Devils had 29 points and 11 assists on the night, which were one shy of program records.
- For the match, Duke had a season-high 40 shots, including 20 on goal.VMI was limited to only one shot in the first half.
- Duke has now scored three goals this season in the first 10 minutes of a match.
- Madison Foxhoven made her first collegiate start on the evening.Â
- Senior Farrah Walters tallied her 20th career goal, while sophomore Sophia Recupero notched the fourth of her career.
- Freshmen Molly Vapensky and Kosette Koons-Perdikis made their Duke debut on the evening.
- Kat Rader posted her fourth career multi-goal performance and her first collegiate hat trick. Rader now owns 25 career goals. She also had a career-best seven points on the evening.Â
- The Blue Devils used the trio of Caroline Dysart, Bianca Dominguez and Vapensky in goal over the 90 minutes.
- Four Duke players registered their first goals of the season – Jocelyn Travers, Recupero, Walters and Taylor Evans.
- Duke's defense totaled its fourth shutout in a row.Â
