DURHAM, N.C. — Entering his first season as the head coach of the Duke women's soccer program,
Kieran Hall has announced the Blue Devils' 2025 schedule Thursday.
The schedule features seven teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament (Penn State, Arkansas, Virginia, Notre Dame, Wake Forest, North Carolina and Virginia Tech), including five that moved on to the quarterfinals (Penn State, Notre Dame, Wake Forest, North Carolina and Virginia Tech).
Duke will play 10 of 16 matches at home inside Koskinen Stadium.
Prior to opening the regular season, Duke will play a pair of exhibition contests. The Blue Devils host the Carolina Ascent of the USL Super League Aug. 4 and then travel to Columbia, S.C., to face South Carolina Aug. 8.
The Blue Devils open the season at home Aug. 14 against the Nittany Lions in a rematch of the 2015 NCAA Championship. Duke will host Northwestern (Aug. 21), Creighton (Aug. 31), VMI (Sept. 4) and Alabama (Sept. 7) in non-conference home contests.
Duke also travels to Fayetteville, Ark., for its only non-conference road contest Aug. 28 at Arkansas.
The Blue Devils kick off ACC play with three straight road matches at Virginia (Sept. 11), Miami (Sept. 14) and Notre Dame (Sept. 18), before also traveling to Virginia Tech (Oct. 18) and NC State (Oct. 26). Home league matches include Wake Forest (Sept. 25), Pittsburgh (Oct. 2), North Carolina (Oct. 12), Syracuse (Oct. 23) and Clemson (Oct. 30).
More information on season tickets and individual match tickets will be announced at a later date.
Coming off a NCAA College Cup appearance and claiming the ACC regular season title in 2024, the Blue Devils return five starters along with
Kat Rader and
Elle Piper who missed most of last year due to injuries. Duke also welcomes the No. 3 rated class in the nation in 2025.
The Blue Devils return three of their top four scorers from a season ago –
Mia Minestrella (12 goals, 7 assists),
Mia Oliaro (8 goals, 13 assists) and
Devin Lynch (7 goals, 10 assists) – and six of their top nine scorers from 2024 –
Cameron Roller (4 goals, 4 assists),
Carina Lageyre (two goals, 6 assists) and
Farrah Walters (3 goals, 3 assists).
