COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Duke women's basketball rising freshman
Emilee Skinner was tapped as one of 12 athletes selected to the 2025 USA Basketball Women's U19 National Team, USA Basketball announced Friday evening.
Along with Skinner, the 2025 USA Women's U19 National Team includes Sienna Betts, Addison Bjorn, Jasmine Davidson, Sydney Douglas, Kate Harpring, Saniyah Hall, Kayleigh Heckel, Jordan Lee, Alivia McGill, Jerzy Robinson and Zania Socka-Nguemen. The team was selected by the USA Basketball Women's Junior National Team Committee and features four college sophomores and three rising college freshman and five players from the 2026 and 2028 classes, respectively.
The United States is primed to compete in Group A of the 2025 FIBA U19 Women's World Cup alongside Israel, Hungary and Korea. The red, white and blue open action against Korea July 12, before taking on Hungary the following day (July 13). Both contests are slated to tip off at 2:15 p.m. ET. Group play concludes against Israel July 15 at 8:30 a.m. ET.
No stranger to USA Basketball, Skinner won gold with the 2024 USA Women's U17 National Team that competed at the FIBA U17 Women's World Cup. The Providence, Utah standout also played on the 2025 USA Women's Nike Hoop Summit team and put up 13 points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals en route to the United States' 90-78 victory over the World Select team.
Ranked No. 4 in the espnW 2025 Class, Skinner heads into her first season with the Blue Devils fresh off a stellar senior season that saw her average 26.3 points, 10.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 3.7 steals and 1.5 blocks, while spearheading Ridgeline to an unblemished 28-0 record and its third straight Class 4A crown.
