DURHAM, N.C. – Duke rowing set a program record with 15 Blue Devils earning Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholar-Athlete recognition, as announced by the organization Tuesday afternoon.
Noelle Fuchs and
Audrey Kline highlighted Duke's picks after being selected for the third time in their Blue Devil careers, while
Lauren Brandmeyer,
Mia Khamish,
Elizabeth May,
Justine Medveckus,
Lena Mills and
Erin Temple received the honor for the second time. Seven Blue Devils earned recognition for the first time in
Roslyn Bellscheidt,
Nora Conaty,
Vivienne Foley,
Florine Lijesen,
Isabella Moreno,
Chelsea Proutt and
Eliza Straayer.
Duke is one of six ACC schools with 10 or more selections, joining Stanford (20), North Carolina (19), California (14), Notre Dame (12) and Boston College (10).
To qualify, a student-athlete must meet both academic and athletic requirements, such as being in at least their second year of eligibility and maintaining an average cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. Additionally, student-athletes must have rowed in their institution's NCAA eligible boats for a minimum of 75% of the current spring races or raced in an NCAA boat at their conference championship/NCAA Championship.Â
