DURHAM, N.C. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) released its 2025 Academic All-District Softball Teams Tuesday afternoon with redshirt junior

The CSC recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, which will be released on June 17.
Baker, a product of Longwood, Fla., turned in a 3.850 GPA and graduated in May with a master's degree in liberal studies. The redshirt junior was one of five players to have seen action in all 59 games this season, earning 58 starts at first base. Baker was selected as a team captain for the second straight season and posted a career-best .290 batting average, while tallying 49 hits, six doubles, seven home runs and 35 RBI on the year.
Mathis, who hails from West Chester, Ohio, earned the honor with a 3.587 GPA. In her first season with the Blue Devils, Mathis has already made her mark on the Duke offense. The junior transfer finished the year with a .342 batting average with 55 hits, 13 doubles, 39 RBI and six home runs in her 161 plate appearances.
A native of DeBary, Fla., Vega earned the distinction with a 3.792 GPA and is majoring in psychology. Vega has powered the Blue Devil offense through 59 this season, leading the team in batting average (.417), hits (80), doubles (17) and total bases (135). She is one of just three players to have started all 59 games this season, primarily at second base. She was named a top-25 finalist for the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year and became the first Blue Devil to earn First Team All-ACC honors in three straight seasons.
Rodriguez, who is majoring in psychology, earned the honor with a 3.723 GPA. The West Palm Beach, Fla., native returned to the lineup after redshirting the 2024 season due to injury and has seen action in all 59 games this season, earning 58 starts behind the plate. She sits third on the team in doubles (11), home runs (9) and RBI (42) and tallied career-highs in batting average (.320), runs scored (25) and hits (57).
A product of League City, Texas, Burgess posted a 3.780 GPA and is working toward her degree in public policy. The sophomore earned a spot in the starting lineup in 53 of 59 games this season, primarily seeing action in left field. Burgess closed out the year with a .302 batting average while recording career-highs in hits (45) and doubles (7).
To be eligible for consideration, student-athletes must be a starter or key reserve, achieve sophomore standing at their current school, maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50 and be nominated by her sports information director.
