UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Sophomore Dayaal Singh captured All-America honors to highlight the men's second day of the NCAA Fencing Championships.Â
Singh advanced to the national event for the first time in his career and captured his first All-America honors after finishing 12th and posting a 12-12 record in pool play. The Basking Ridge, N.J., native broke through at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional with a third-place finish to earn the highest Duke men's finish for a foil at the regional since Eoin Gronningsater took gold in 2019. Singh is Duke's first men's foilist to receive All-America accolades since Finn Hossfeld in 2022.
Blue Devil freshman Joseph Glasson finished 15th in his first NCAA event. Glasson posted a 11-13 record during the two days of competition.
Duke is currently in 13th place overall with 23 points. The program's women's qualifiers, sophomore Charlotte Koenig and junior Rachel Koo, will start at 11 a.m., Saturday with foil.
