DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke fencing team heads eight miles down the road Saturday for a head-to-head matchup with ACC rival North Carolina. The Blue Devils are coming off a strong showing at Coach Nikki Franke Classic to start the 2025-26 campaign.
Fencing will take place in the Loudermilk Center for Excellence-Blue Zone (3rd Floor Concourse). The women open action at 9 a.m. with the men starting at 12:30 p.m. Live results can be found here.
Last Time We Met
In last year's regular season meeting between the rivals, the Duke men went 7-2 at foil en route to a 15-12 victory. The women foilists had a good showing, 6-3, but the 8-1 victory at épée was too much to overcome as the Tar Heels edged Duke, 15-12.
In the 2025 ACC Championships the Tar Heel men reversed their fortunes, finishing second overall, which included a 14-13 win over Duke. The Blue Devil women got the better of their rivals at the postseason event, cruising past the Tar Heels, 19-8, en route to a runner-up finish at the ACC Championships.
Last Time Out
