DURHAM, N.C. – Former Duke women's basketball standout
Chelsea Gray and the Las Vegas Aces begin their quest for a third consecutive WNBA title this weekend, opening the 2024 WNBA Playoffs with a first-round matchup against the Seattle Storm.
The best-of-three series tips off Sunday, Sept. 22 at 10 p.m. ET, with game two slated for Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 9:30 p.m. Both contests will be broadcast live on ESPN. The Aces enter the postseason as the No. 4-seed after posting a 27-13 record during the regular season.
Currently in her 10th year in the WNBA, Gray played in 27 games with 25 starts for the Aces after sitting out the start of the season due to injury. The 2022 WNBA Finals MVP averaged 8.6 points, 4.9 assists and 2.9 rebounds in 26.0 minutes per game this season, returning to form over the last month with season highs in points (21) and assists (10).
