No. 20 Duke Continues California Trip with UC San Diego Sunday

DURHAM, N.C. – No. 20 Duke concludes opening weekend on Sunday, Aug. 25, traveling to La Jolla, California, for a meeting with UC San Diego. Sunday will mark the first meeting between the two programs and kickoff is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET.

UNITED SOCCER COACHES GOALKEEPER TO WATCH
- Graduate student Wessel Speel was tabbed to the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Goalkeepers to Watch List last week, one of six in the country named to the award.
- Speel, a 6-foot-7 goalkeeper from Hofstra, has enjoyed an illustrious career before his arrival in Durham. The Utrecht, Netherlands, native has started all 75 games he has appeared in, collecting 25 shutouts and posting a goals-against average of 0.97 during his time. He has tallied 227 saves and posted a 51-11-13 record.
